What is Spirulina?
Spirulina is a microscopic fresh water blue-green algae. It
grows naturally in the tropical lakes of Asia, Africa &
Central America and it is cultivated in Cuba. Spirulina platensis,
the most widely grown species is considered to be one of the
world’s few “super foods”. It is high in protein, contains all
the eight essential amino acids required by man and is nature’s
richest whole food source of Vitamin E, Beta Carotene, antioxidants,
Gamma Linolenic acid (GLA) and chlorophyll.

How can I take Spirel
Spirulina?
We offer 100% Spirel Spirulina in tablet, capsule or powder
form. Both our tablets and capsules provide 500mg of Cuban Spirulina
and, unlike other Spirulina products, contain no binders or

of tablets that combine Cuban Spirulina with Vitamin C, Royal

How
much Spirel Spirulina should I take?
We recommend taking 2 tablets or capsules with food three times
a day or 3g of powder, although some people take up to 10g of
powder a day. Spirel Spirulina powder can be sprinkled on food
or mixed with your favourite fruit or juice for a delicious
smoothie It is virtually impossible to overdose on Spirulina. However,
reports have suggested that taking very large quantities may
cause acidity, upset stomach, and diarrhoea.

Can vegetarians and vegans
take Spirel Spirulina?
Spirel Spirulina products have been approved by the vegetarian
society (except Spirel Royal and Spirel Gold which contain
Royal Jelly). All our other products are 100% vegetable origin
including our Spirel Vegetarian Capsules which contain 100%
Spirel Spirulina in capsules made from vegetarian cellulose.
Spirel Spirulina is, in fact, the ideal food supplement for
vegetarians and vegans. It provides a natural plant source
of protein and is rich in other vitamins and minerals that
vegetarians and vegans commonly lack in their diets such as
certain amino acids that other vegetable proteins lack.

Can pregnant
women take Spirel Spirulina?
Nutrition during pregnancy is especially important. Spirel
Spirulina’s easy-to-digest protein and bio-available iron
without any saturated fats is ideal for pregnant women. In
India & Vietnam spirulina is prescribed for pregnant and
nursing mothers. However, it is always advisable for pregnant
women to consult their GP or other qualified health professional

Can children
take Spirel Spirulina?
Yes. Spirel Spirulina is perfectly safe for children. Doctors
have reported spirulina’s health benefits for child victims
of Chernobyl radiation. Spirulina reduced radioactivity levels
by 50% in 20 days after the children were given high doses
of 5 grams per day and no side effects were registered. However,
Spirel products should always be administered by an adult
and care should be taken to keep them out of the reach of
children as extremely high doses could result in iron overdose.

Can I give Spirel Spirulina
to my pet?
Spirel Spirulina is an excellent supplement for all cats,
dogs, birds and fish. For cats and dogs give approximately
1% Spirel Spirulina powder of the total dry weight of their
food. Give large cats and small dogs 1g, medium dogs 2g, large
dogs 3g and giant dogs 6g or more.

the first item and then 50p for each additional item. All
goods are sent by First Class Royal Mail. (1-2 days)

shipment. All goods are sent by Royal Mail airmail delivery
(3-5 days depending on location).

How long will it
take for my order to arrive?
We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours. UK orders are
sent by First Class Royal Mail and should arrive within 1-2
days. It’s best to allow up to 5 working days from confirmation
of your order to receiving your Spirel products.
Overseas orders are sent by airmail and should arrive within
3-5 working days depending on location. For all overseas orders
it’s best to allow up to 10 working days from confirmation
of your order to receiving your Spirel products.

What happens if
the product(s) I order are not available?
If products are not available we will notify you
as soon as possible by email. You will be given the option
of waiting for the goods to come into stock or canceling your
order. If you decide to cancel your order we will refund all
payments in full to your credit or debit card.

Do you offer any guarantee?
We hope that you will be happy with your Spirel products.
However, we offer a 14-day money back guarantee on all products.
If you wish to cancel your order you must notify us by letter,
fax or email within 14 days of delivery and return the goods
to us unopened and in a reasonable condition together with
the invoice. You cannot cancel your order if you have opened
the product containers or used the products. However, if you
have opened your product and have a complaint please notify
us in writing within three days of receiving the goods and
return the product to us. If your claim is supported we will
refund postage and packing for returning the goods and replace
